Converting from a conventional or system boiler to a combi, or fitting a new unvented cylinder, can take one to two days depending on the pipework involved. Yes. Every installation starts with a free, no-obligation survey of your property and existing system, followed by a fixed written quote. We do not charge for surveys or quotes, and there is never any pressure to book on the spot.

Which boiler brands do you install and recommend?

As a Baxi Approved Installer we specialise in Baxi boilers and can offer extended warranties. We can also install other leading brands such as Worcester Bosch and Vaillant if required, and will recommend the best fit for your property, hot water demand and budget rather than pushing one brand regardless of your needs.

What types of boiler can you install, combi, system, or conventional?

We install all three types. Combi boilers heat water on demand with no separate cylinder, ideal for smaller properties. System boilers work with a cylinder and suit homes with higher hot water demand. Conventional (heat-only) boilers work with a cylinder and cold water tank, and are common in older properties with existing pipework we can often reuse.

Are your prices fixed or do you charge by the hour?

For installations we provide a fixed written quote after a free survey, so you know the full cost before work begins. This covers the boiler, parts, labour and certification, with no hourly surprises.

How can I check if an engineer is Gas Safe registered?

Accepted Answer

Every Gas Safe registered engineer has a unique Gas Safe ID card, and you can verify any engineer directly on the official Gas Safe Register website using their registration number. Our Register No. is 640113, and we are always happy for customers to check this before work begins.

Do I need to replace my radiators when I install a new boiler?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. If your existing radiators and pipework are in good condition and sized correctly for your property, they can often be reused with a new boiler. We will assess this during your free survey and only recommend changes where they genuinely improve efficiency or comfort.

Will a new boiler reduce my energy bills?

Accepted Answer

A modern A-rated boiler is significantly more efficient than an older G or E-rated unit, and can meaningfully reduce heating costs, particularly if your current boiler is more than 15 years old. The exact saving depends on your current system, insulation and usage, so we avoid quoting a guaranteed figure and instead explain realistically what to expect for your property.

Do you offer any warranty on new boiler installations?

Yes. Baxi installations can carry extended manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years when installed by an Approved Installer such as ourselves, alongside our own workmanship being covered. Exact warranty terms depend on the specific model and registration, which we confirm in writing at the time of installation.
